MoSaiC

Real-time Monitoring and Sampling of CB menaces for improved dynamic mapping of threats, vulnerabilities and response capacities

MoSaiC is a EU-funded research initiative, focused on real-time monitoring of CBRN events paired with innovative sampling capabilities. The project’s main aim is to enhance the dynamic mapping of threats in real-time using innovative tools and technologies, thanks to the concerted effort of its Consortium, comprised of 7 international partners.
The final outcome will be an integrated, disruptive CBRN DIM technology that is able to provide real-time monitoring of CB threats and real-time C2 solutions paired with extended reality data visualisation capabilities.

OBJECTIVES

MAPPING OF THREATS

Use of dynamic extended reality tools for the 3D mapping and visualisation of threats, vulnerabilities, and response capacities

DEVELOP SENSING CAPABILITIES

The monitoring of CBRN threats will be paired with innovative and miniaturized sensing capabilities, to enhance real time and near real/time dynamic mapping

RESEARCH ON SAMPLING TECHNOLOGIES

Research on innovative sampling technologies based on the concept of “smart swabs”, enabling faster and cheaper non-destructive analysis of a sample that can later be analyzed in a laboratory facility far from the place where the event took place

RESEARCH ON CB MONITORING TECHNOLOGIES

Research on innovative, low-cost CB (Chemical and Biological) monitoring technologies that can be installed on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) systems
