The MoSaiC project took center stage at The 12th International Symposium on Mobile Mapping Technology | MMT 2023, a premier platform for advancements in geospatial technologies. The symposium brought together global experts to discuss innovations such as autonomous vehicles, AI tools for geospatial analysis, and real-time mapping systems—all critical to the MoSaiC initiative.
As part of the event, MoSaiC’s contributions aligned perfectly with its mission of real-time threat mapping using dynamic extended reality tools. The AIT team presented two groundbreaking studies:
- Simulation of Low-Cost MEMS-LiDAR and Its Effect on SLAM Performance(Read the paper)

These contributions emphasized MoSaiC’s leadership in developing sensing technologies for UAVs, paving the way for advanced threat monitoring solutions integrated with extended reality data visualization.
