Porto, Portugal – September 4-7, 2023
The 12th Euro-Mediterranean Symposium on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy EMSLIBS 2023 brought together leading experts in laser-based analytical techniques, fostering knowledge exchange between fundamental research and technological applications. Held every two years, EMSLIBS is recognized as a premier forum for the LIBS community, providing a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and technology providers to discuss advancements in spectroscopy applications, from RAMAN to NIR technologies.
At EMSLIBS 2023, MoSaiC’s contribution to laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) research was highlighted through ENEA’s presentation of a novel unmanned LIBS system. The proposed system demonstrated its potential for detecting biological threats in aerosols, addressing a critical need for rapid, non-invasive, and cost-effective threat identification.
This innovation aligns with MoSaiC’s mission to develop next-generation sampling technologies that enhance situational awareness and response capabilities in CBRN threat scenarios. By integrating cutting-edge laser technology with autonomous platforms, MoSaiC continues to drive advancements in real-time C-B detection and monitoring solutions.
