Ibiza, Spain – September 25-27, 2024
The 10th Annual International Conference on Sensors and Electronic Instrumentation Advances (SEIA’ 2024) serves as a premier forum for researchers, developers, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements in sensor technologies, transducers, and AI-driven instrumentation systems. Organized by the International Frequency Sensor Association (IFSA), SEIA brings together experts from academia, research institutes, and industry to exchange insights on cutting-edge developments in sensor-based applications, measurement techniques, and emerging smart technologies.
At SEIA 2024, MoSaiC consortium partners ENEA and CREO contributed to the conference with an oral presentation on innovative biological threat detection solutions. The presentation, titled “On-Site and Early Detection of Biological Threats by SERS / Smart Swab”, was authored by A. Lai, R. Viola, I. Petrignani, A. Puiu, S. Lecci, N. Liberatore, and S. Mengali. This research highlights a novel sensor-based approach for rapid and field-deployable identification of biological threats, leveraging Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) and smart swab technologies to enhance real-time situational awareness in CBRN threat scenarios.
By participating in SEIA 2024, MoSaiC project strengthens its engagement with the global sensor research community, reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation and operational effectiveness in critical security contexts.
