Rome, Italy – September 25-29, 2023
MoSaiC participated in the SICC Series – CBRNe Conference, hosted at the National Fire Academy (Istituto Superiore Antincendi) and organized by the University of Rome Tor Vergata and HESAR Association. The event gathered leading experts, researchers, and operational stakeholders to discuss advancements in CBRN threat detection, contamination control, and response strategies.
Key topics of the conference included analysis and evaluation of CBRNe threats, biological and chemical warfare agents (BWAs and CWAs), command and control systems, unmanned vehicles, and mixed reality applications for crisis management.
At SICC 2023, ENEA researchers presented groundbreaking MoSaiC-supported studies on:
- Smart Swabs for Rapid Detection: a next-generation approach for quick and efficient identification of hazardous agents.
- Laser Photoacoustic Spectroscopy for Chemical Agents: an advanced technique for precise and real-time chemical detection.
These innovations align with MoSaiC’s mission to develop cost-effective, portable monitoring solutions, enhancing both scientific research and operational capabilities in C-B threat mitigation.
MoSaiC continues to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world application, contributing to the advancement of C-B detection technologies for defense and civil protection.
