Assisi, Italy – November 25-27, 2024
The Hackathon Tech for SHRINEs 2024 brought together startups, research centers, universities, SMEs, and European project consortia to develop innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the security of places of worship. Held in the historic city of Assisi, the event focused on tackling key threats such as vandalism, theft, terrorist attacks, crowd-related risks, and environmental hazards, fostering a collaborative approach to safeguarding cultural and religious heritage.
Throughout the event, MoSaiC project actively participated in networking sessions and knowledge exchange opportunities within the Exposition Area, where various European projects addressing security and resilience challenges showcased their solutions. This dedicated space provided an important platform for discussing best practices, technological innovations, and research advancements. Partners AIT and Fondazione SAFE presented the project to the audience taking part to the event, focusing in particular on the mapping capabilities provided by indoor and outdoor UAVs. The reception of the specialist CBRN public was positive, with the exchange of further ideas for the validation of the solution in military and hybrid contexts.
MoSaiC’s presence in the Exposition Area allowed also the consortium to engage with other EU-funded projects focused on security, risk prevention, and crisis management. Through these exchanges, MoSaiC strengthened collaborations, shared insights, and explored synergies in the development of AI-driven monitoring systems, advanced sensors, and autonomous response solutions.
